The primary goal of this article is to initiate a profound
discussion in Bulgaria by correctly defining the issues and by
presenting the views of the 3 traditional for Bulgaria religions:
Christianity, Islam and Judaism. These religions condemn euthanasia
in all forms and only as an exception and subject to some
conditions one can argue that passive euthanasia could be accepted.
We are faced as society with the open question are we surrendering
to Evil if we allow euthanasia or we could agree that religious
norms as basis for our ethical values would not be affected if
euthanasia is legalized?
